Postage and Packing
We charge a fixed rate of £4.95 for postage and packaging on all orders within the UK.
FREE postage applies to orders over £25.00.
FREE P&P is ordinary 2nd class post, if you choose Premium Delivery without paying the additional charge of £6.95, this does not mean your parcel will be sent Premium Delivery. This is a paid service only.
We reserve the right to charge a carrier fee on orders over the free stated amount if the parcel weighs more than 3kg.
Any order containing a litre bottle of vanilla extract must choose Premium Delivery.
If you choose the Next Day Delivery, we will email and text you (provided we have your mobile number) about the delivery. You will be allocated an hour slot which if not convenient you then have the option to rearrange at a time that is convenient for you.
For our customers overseas, orders for Europe have a fixed P&P charge of £6.95 and orders for the rest of the world have a fixed charge, details of which are calculated at checkout.
Our parcels are all sent the SAME DAY as the order is received, upto 2pm that day. Orders that have chosen 2nd class delivery may not be sent that day if volume of orders does not permit this. Orders received after 2pm or at the weekend are sent the following working day. Orders placed on a Friday with next day delivery option will be delivered on the following Monday. Our courier does not deliver on a Saturday. We use Royal Mail First Class Packet Post for all our UK orders unless the courier option has been paid for, and the Royal Mail Airmail Service for all overseas orders. Most of our customers receive next day delivery using the UK service, however please allow 3-5 working days before contacting us about not receiving your parcel in the UK and 10 working days for all other orders.
Orders are not classed as lost until 15 working days have passed from when your order was despatched. Can we please therefore ask you to be patient before contacting us about an order that doesn’t arrive as quickly as we would hope.
We can offer other specialist mail services such as Recorded Delivery, Special Delivery guaranteed before 1pm and Airsure for Tracked International orders. If you would like your parcel sent by one of these alternative methods, please comment at the time of ordering and a separate Paypal invoice will be sent to you accordingly.
In the unlikely event that your order does go missing, we will either offer you a full refund or send a replacement order. This will be at our discretion and will depend upon the availability at that time of all the items within your order. As most orders are sent via a traceable method it is highly unlikely that you will not receive your order.
It is your responsibility to check if an order has not been received when you had expected it to. It may be that the delivery had been attempted yet they failed to leave a card. You should always contact your local post office, sorting office or courier depot. Details on how your order was sent will be provided if you ask us.
Orders can be collected in store, however must be placed online.

Please note: We do not send orders out over the weekend. Next day delivery is only applicable on orders placed BEFORE 3pm on the day of order. If your order arrives after 3pm it will be sent the next working day using the next day option. Delivery will be upto 6pm.
**EXCLUDES DELIVERY ON A SATURDAY AND BANK HOLIDAYS** Highlands of Scotland and certain UK post codes are not included and will therefore be sent by Tracked Next Day delivery using Royal Mail, however this service is not guaranteed.

Northern Ireland services
The Timed NEXT Day 12:00 service for Belfast is only available for postcodes BT1–17 (otherwise it is next day).
We also offer a saturday service for postcodes BT1–9, however there is an additional charge for this.
The fixed fee covers most items sold on our website. However in instances where your order takes the size or weight over 2kg we reserve the right to charge you additional postage to cover this. The costs will be worked out per each additional 500g and is passed on to you at cost, not inflated.
We aim to be very fair with our postage rates and keep these to a fee which is both manageable for us as a business and you as the end consumer.
Import Duties and tax are the responsibility of the buyer and Purple Cupcakes are not liable for any further charges other than those listed on the website. Please familiarise yourself with any other charges you may face before placing an order as we are not able to advise on individual circumstances which are beyond our control.
Placing an Order
You can order all the items you see in our online shop, via the online ordering system. The website is very user friendly and easy to use. If you prefer, we will process your order over the telephone. If you require an invoice for your goods, this MUST be stated at the time of placing your order. Our website is accessible at all times.
HOW DO I PAY?
You can choose to pay using SagePay or PayPal. Both of these methods mean you can use a debit or credit card. These are the most trusted brands for paying via a website. If you choose, you can telephone us to place your order, and your details will be destroyed as soon as the payment has been authorised. You DO NOT NEED to have a PayPal account to use your credit/debit card to pay for the items you wish to purchase. PayPal is a very secure way of purchasing items and at no point do we have access to any of your card details. We do not have another payment processing facility.
We pride ourselves on the level of service we give to our customers. Whether your order is for 1 item or 100, we always try our best to ensure that any parcel that leaves our shop is perfectly wrapped to reach you in perfect condition.
EMBOSSING MATS / FRAGILE / SMALL ITEMS
Where we think an item requires extra protection during transit due to the bulkiness of other items ordered, we will package these separately for you within the parcel. e.g. They will be placed within a bubble envelope or if you had ordered perhaps boxes or a rolling board, wrapped together within bubble to keep them flat.
PLEASE UNWRAP ALL PACKAGING TO SEE YOUR COMPLETE ORDER BEFORE CONTACTING US THINKING AN ITEM IS MISSING!
It would be very unlikely that you would receive an order from us containing damaged items. However on the odd occasion that this may happen due to damage caused in transit, we will assist you as much as we can so that you can claim for the value of the item with Royal Mail.
Under no circumstances would we send a damaged item to you in your order and we guarantee that all items that leave our shop are in perfect condition. Please get in touch with Royal Mail to report any damaged items where damage has occurred during transit.
All our orders are picked and double checked before sending. In the unlikely event of your order being incorrect, you must notify us within 72 hours of the order being received. If we are not contacted within this timescale, it is presumed all is correct with your order.
We do not accept returns of products without contacting us prior to returning an item. We will not accept a return unless the item is faulty. Returns are wholly at our discretion unless faulty and we must be notified of your intention to return an item within 14 days of the order date. Product information is given on all products to give the consumer the required information to choose whether to order the product or not. We may offer an exchange on a product, however this will be at our discretion.
If you change your mind about a product, you have the right to return it for a refund or exchange if you do so within 14 days which is counted from the day you place your order with us. We will not offer refunds if you change your mind after the 14 days have passed. This right EXCLUDES ANY EDIBLE/PERISHABLE items. If you return any items due to changing change your mind, we will not refund your postage costs. All costs incurred in returning the items to us will be borne by you, the purchaser. You are advised to send by recorded delivery to ensure the return reaches us. We will not be responsible for items that do not reach us if you have no proof of postage.
** Returns will NOT be accepted for Embossing Products, Letters, mats etc. We cannot accept returns on ANY edible items unless the packaging is faulty.
Items ordered wrongly by you or simply not wanted cannot be returned for a refund. In this case you should contact us to see if a different product can be offered or a credit note. However a refund will not be issued in these circumstances. If an item is returned for a credit note or replacement, you will be responsible for ensuring the parcel reaches us back in saleable condition and we therefore suggest you only send parcels back to us using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. It is your responsibility to obtain proof of postage at the time of sending the parcel to us. We will not refund any postage charges incurred.
We sell Purple Cupcakes® gift vouchers in our online shop which can be redeemed against anything of monetary value on our website. Vouchers can be sent through the post in the form of a card and envelope, or direct to you/the recipient by email.
Gift Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash and refunds on vouchers will not be given.
Gift Vouchers must be redeemed by the expiry date, which is usually six months from the date of purchase. Once the date has passed, the gift voucher is deemed to be null and void.
We often run special offers on our website or social media pages. We reserve the right to remove an offer at any time without prior notice. You may only redeem one special offer against one purchase at any time.
Special offers cannot be combined or used in conjunction with other special offers. When making a payment using a special offer, this will not apply, but not excluded to, items already discounted or on special offer, kits, promotional sets etc.
You are unable to redeem vouchers against purchases with special offers incorporated.
All the personal details supplied by you to us are kept confidential. We are entitled to use information about you for marketing purposes.
If you contact us by email us, subscribe to use the online shop, or book a class, we will store your email address on our Mailing List to keep you updated about special offers, news and events. You can choose to unsubscribe from this Mailing List at any time.
If you place your order with us over the telephone, we will not record or store your credit card or other payment details. As soon as the transaction has been authorised, your payment details will be destroyed.
We will not sell nor distribute or lease your personal information to third parties other than when required to do so by law.
